I read that it is better for you to sleep on a hard mattress. Is this true?
Absolutely not! A hard, nonconforming mattress forces your body to adapt to its flat shape, bending your spine into an unnatural position and creating pressure points at the shoulders, hips, and feet, which can cause you to toss and turn trying to find a more comfortable position. The result is lower back pain and less restful sleep. Try sleeping on the floor for a night, how did that feel?
